Experience:
Peggy Clemens Lauritzen, AG, was involved in genealogy before she was even born. The daughter of avid genealogists, she was spending time in courthouses and cemeteries while other children were playing on swings and going to the beach. The love of her family’s history has never left her. With her experience as a former Family History Director, she is a frequent speaker at genealogical societies, workshops, seminars, and webinars where she loves bringing genealogy to life. Some of those would include The Ohio Genealogical Society, The Ohio State University, Brigham Young University, and many other state and local genealogy societies. She has recently completed several Legacy QuickGuides on Appalachia, which are also available on www.legacyfamilytree.com and www.amazon.com, is an instructor at Ancestry Academy and Family Tree University, and served as an Ambassador for RootsTech2016-2017. Read her genealogy columns at Reminisce Magazine, and you will discover why she was given the honor of 2018 Fellow of the Ohio Genealogical Society.

Have you heard me speak?
What people are saying...
Thank you for the splendid seminar. It must be tiring to be 'upfront' for an entire day, but you held up well......better than some of us in the audience. :) You are a teacher not a lecturer or speaker which I appreciate. Too many of these seminars have speakers who seem stuck on themselves or their subject, are overweight and unappealing or go on and on about their own troubles or who talk around a subject but really don't ever get to what could be most helpful.
Miss Peggy was enthusiastic, polished, yet down to earth, the audience felt like you were right with us, knowledgeable, experienced and used a nice mix of humor or down home touches. The presentation was done in a fashion whereby the listeners could understand and go home and 'do it'. Your thread of actual people in your research added a nice touch. I liked your choice of subjects, too. School records are overlooked and I am always seeking my grandmother's who are lost in the man's world of yesteryear. "Homespun and Calico".......love that title. I appreciated the fact that you had a handle on your power point and equipment. Seldom do I see such a presentation but what something is wrong with the equipment or the presenter doesn't know how to use it. No fumbling from Miss Peggy. :) WeLL DONE
*This was an awesome presentation and I learned a lot of history that I never knew. The research of the presenter, Mrs Lauritzen, was excellent. She was very comfortable with her knowledge and brought this to our attention very early. Would love a repeat of this in the future or more of other American history subjects presented by her exclusively. Thank you for a fine, learning hour of knowledge.
"Oh if you haven't logged on yet, you really should do! The examples she is giving are the funniest things I have ever seen. "I had hair on my dishes because I was so fascinated with the story of this woman..." How true is that!"
Every one of the webinars are great, I enjoy and learn from them all, but this is the first one to ever make me cry! We've come a long way, baby! A wonderful, informative presentation by Peggy Clemens Lauritzen.
*I haven't poured through all of the evaluations yet, but several committee members have said, "Get that lady back!"
Muncie, Indiana Family History Symposium
*Peggy's presentation was excellent!
"Enjoyed your webinar Peggy Clemens Lauritzen! It was the first time I have heard one of your presentations! It was great, so much wonderful information! Thank you so much! Look forward to the next one!"
*I do not have any family members that were in the War of 1812, but I found the presentation very interesting from a historical point of view. She was an excellent presenter.
* Appreciated that they spent a good deal of time afterward answering questions. Also liked the additional outside resources that were talked about. Very good info given about topic.
*I must comment that tonight's webinar on the War of 1812 was greatly appreciated. The history was a great refresher, and the discussion of the availability of records was fabulous! It was so nice of the speaker to "stay late" to answer the great questions people had. Kudos on this one
*Subject tonight (War of 1812) was extremely interesting and presenter did an excellent
job of giving an overview of the history as well as suggesting potential places to search
*Hi Miss Peggy,
I really enjoyed your presentations on Women & School Censuses. I have a hearing problem and you had such a clear voice that I hung on every word. I found the lectures to be enlightening, inspirational, entertaining and motivational. I came away with all of my ancestors pulling at my sleeves to get busy and dig them out of obscurity. You and Dana Palmer should be truly welcomed to the great beyond by them, for your work to teach us to preserve all of our ancestors and their accomplishments and descendants. in other words, I nominate you for a big "atta girl", well done.

*Dear Peggy,
Thank you for the classes you did for our Family History Seminar. Everyone seemed very happy with the whole day. People thanked me as they left. Many have e-mailed me their thanks afterwards. Without you, this would not have happened.
